Choose a location or neighborhood. Your location or neighborhood can be anywhere. Some tips for choosing a location or neighborhood: (1.) Keep it to a neighborhood within a city or smaller community. It will be harder to apply the theory to an entire city, than to a neighborhood within a city. (2.) Ensure the location matches the societal problem you wish to tackle. For example, if you are wanting to try and explain gang violence, you shouldnt choose a suburban neighborhood where gangs are not prevalent.

After you have chosen your location, write an outline using the Location Outline Template that is attached to this assignment. Answer the questions asked in the outline underneath the question. List one fact or piece of information per sub-bullet. After each fact or piece of information, be sure that you provide an accurate in-text citation. Make sure you have the corresponding long citation on the reference page. The location section requires between 5-10 references.

For this section of the paper, you may use websites to find the information requested. City websites, census bureau information, and personal interviews are good options to gather information. You may have to find the information elsewhere. Try and ensure that the websites seem credible.
