Purpose:
Social workers in all settings need to be able to comprehensively assess and plan with their clients. This assignment provides an opportunity to use information to begin to formulate an assessment and then generate SMART goals that align with the presenting problem. You may use notes from lecture, Chapter 12 (Hepworth et al), and other materials assigned (or located by you) that support this work.
Instructions:
Students will be supplied a case study (see link below for Mario’s case study) and will conduct a comprehensive assessment that links to one SMART goal, objectives, and tasks directly related to the presenting problem within the case.
Students will submit a 3-4 page (double-spaced) paper with required information below:
Legal, health, and safety issues.
Relevant strengths and resources (multiple levels).
Social, environmental, mental health, and physical health issues.
