What are these two stories trying to collectively communicate, warn, or teach us about technology?

What are these two stories trying to collectively communicate, warn, or teach us about technology? How is their message similar, and how is it different? And how are these ideas expressed through characters, themes, and/or symbols?

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Your essay must be organized, beginning with an intro that has a hook, background on BOTH Asimovs and Dicks short stories(1-2 sentences each), and a thesis statement. The thesis should express what you believe is the most important theme in the story, and the message that is being delivered about that theme.

You need to have a quote in each body paragraph from either one of the stories that backs up your point. Think of the quotes as providing proof of what you see as the main theme/message. The more proof you can provide, then the stronger your interpretation/argument will be.

You need to use BOTH stories for this essay; However, you do not need to use them equally. You should have a good amount of material about each, but what you write does not need to be equally divided.

Your essay must be composed primarily of your own opinions, only using the stories to back up your argument/interpretation. I DO NOT want just a summary of the stories. If all you write is a recap what happened in the stories for the entire paper, you will not pass this essay.

You will need to write MORE THAN 5 TOTAL PARAGRAPHS for this essay. How many paragraphs you need, depends on you and your writing style, but 5 paragraphs will not be enough to meet the page minimum, and will not provide enough depth of analysis on the stories.
