1. Literature Review: This may be broken down in a few ways. You may wish to pick articles from a few subtopics, and then have subheadings. For example, if I chose to examine Cocaine Use Disorder, I might break it into sections like Prevalence of Cocaine Use Disorder, Negative Consequences of Cocaine Use Disorder, and Treatment of Cocaine Use Disorder. There is no set requirement for how many subheadings and sections you have, but if you just present giant paragraph with no meaningful subheadings/summarization, your group will not be graded highly.
a. As part of the literature review, the group must include at least one table, figure, or graphic. This can be a reproduction from an article, but you must clearly cite that in your poster (e.g., if you use a figure from an article, clearly type below it reproduced from Harrison et al., 2003)
b. Tables may be a useful way to summarize your articles. For example, if you look at 10 experimental studies that look at the effect of medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, you might want to make a table that quickly summarizes which articles found significant effects vs. which articles did not. This may also be depicted in a pie chart or other graphical form. Be creative with graphs and figures!
2. Conclusions
a. What did the literature tell you about this topic? What are the main broad findings?
b. What discrepancies are there? Is there any controversy/debate in the field about this topic?
3. Remaining questions/Future Directions
a. What remains unanswered? Where do you believe the field should go with this topic? In other words, what/how should researchers try to answer about this topic next? How can the research you collected be useful for clinicians that treat substance use disorder? Does your group have any suggestions for future studies?
4. References
a. APA-formatted
