** There are 3 parts to this assignment, please do all **
Part 1:
1. Give a complete and thorough list of all your ascribed statuses. I will deduct points if you do not give me a complete list, so think about all of the statuses that are assigned to you.
2. What do you think is the master status here in society? What is the first status, the main way we treat each other?
Part 2

2. View YouTube: Google and Facebook Cross “The Creepy Line” (Stossel 5:50) Summarize from a conflict perspective in one paragraph how this illustrates social institutions maintain the privileges of the most powerful individuals and groups in society.

4. View YouTube:Trading Schools (Sketterer 6:46) Summarize from a conflict perspective in one paragraph how this illustrates social institutions maintain the privileges of the most powerful individuals and groups in society.
Part 3 :
1. 1). Watch the following: YouTube: Brain Games and Social Conformity (5:34 min)
and YouTube: The Stanford Prison Experiment (By: Answerto1984is (29:01 min)
2) Summarize each clip and describe how they demonstrate social control over interactions (total one paragraph for both clips).
3). Utilizing a macrosociological perspective, explain how social structure is coercive of group behavior. In other words, how does social structure control us to such a degree that we do not even think about our actions? We merely act robotically, mindlessly, or habitually. Give two examples in one paragraph. Helpful hint: A macrosociological example would most likely discuss how social institutions (i.e. social institution of education, economy, religion, etc.) control the masses without us even realizing we are being controlled. Please do not use the examples provided already (media and criminal justice system)
