Climate Impacts Paper is required for this course to better understand how the earth is changing, how humans are altering Earths systems, and what individuals, communities and societies can do to mitigate the impacts of climate change. You are required to read 2020 New Jersey Scientific Report on Climate Change, which is available at:

for background. Your topic can be how climate change is impacting you, your community, a place in NJ you visit, other places in the US or another place of interest anywhere around the world. Your topic must include expert opinion about climate change, and can include how these environmental changes will also impact our communities, economy, society, politics and/or public health in NJ or other places. The Climate Paper should be about five (5) typed pages of text (double-spaced) and include references from peer-reviewed literature sources. The topic should be specific to focus your thoughts, be clearly summarized, and must include
your viewpoints and opinions
on the subject. The paper can include pictures, figures, and tables to support your text. The Climate Paper will be graded based on the clarity of the information presented, organization of ideas, the ability to strongly convey the impacts of climate change, recommendations to address the issues you present, and your critical viewpoints/insight(s) provided about the subject.
