Over the past few decades the populations of several species of penguins in Antarctica have been consistently dwindling. In the past few years, several populations have seen all but few of their chick starve to death. What is causing the mass starvation of chicks and how would this impact the continuity of these species? Please discuss in details taking into consideration the breeding and feeding habits of penguins.
Guideline for the WRA
The essay should be at least 2 pages long. Use Times New Roman font 12 and make it double spaced.
You should have a clear and representative title for the essay.
Your essay should include an Introduction, Body and Conclusion.
In your introduction, make sure to introduce the topic, define the key terms that will be discussed and make the general argument to be addressed in the essay.
In the body, you need to go into more details about what the topic is on. What are the factors affecting or contributing to the topic being discussed? If there are opposing arguments, make sure to include both sides of the story but then highlight which side does scientific evidence favor.
In the conclusion, sum up the ideas discussed in the essay and make a concluding statement. Here, you also need to express your personal opinion on the subject matter.
You need to include a reference page at the end. (The reference page is not part of the 2 minimum pages).
I encourage you to use images and graphs when possible but again these are not be considered as part of the 2 minimum pages).
You need to use reliable sources. (Government websites and internationally acknowledged websites such as the WHO and the UN). Other recommended sources would be scholar.google and pubmed.com.
All the information included in the essay should also be cited within the text.
How to do that: one way is to number all the references in the reference page and then use numbers in-text to cite the references.
Or you can use the APA method, in which the in-text citation should be as follows:
In the case of a single author: (Authors last name; year of publication).
In case of 2 authors: (1st authors last name & 2nd authors last name; year of publication).
In case of multiple authors: (1st authors last name et al., year of publication).
