3 – Go over the reasons for the rise of the many protest and social movements of the late 1960s. Consider the rise of Black Power, Sisterhood, the Chicano movement, and Red Power. What successes were there? Failures? How did the pendulum swing and what movements emerged in the 80s due to that political shift? Successes/failures? Provide specific examples of people and organizations from both eras.
4 In ONE page or less tell me: What historical lessons from this quarter can be applied to the times you live in? Are these times truly unique or is the wheel of history simply rotating round and round?
