Please try to read the grade A samples (they are not proposal but the actual high quality thesis that professor received) in order to know what the professor is expected for this thesis/research project and strictly follow their structures and organization and received some inspiration on deciding the question.
*This is an empirical research project and you need to know how to run basic regression and have basic econometrics knowledge. You will need to be familiar with economic models and theories and adopt them in your research.
*For the thesis, you have 3 big areas to choose from: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics or Econometrics (you are required to apply econometrics knowledge and analysis even you choose to research in micro or macroeconomics area). Once you have decided the area, please narrow down your research question to a particular real issue/ phenomenon.
*Your proposal need to first state your research question and then provide a precise outline indicating:
1. the reason why you choose this research topic and question
2. how you will collect your data (methodology)
3. What types of theoretical model you would like to adopt in the project
