The purpose of the personal statement is to provide a sample of the applicants ability to write in an academic and professional manner, as well as to learn about any qualifications/life events that were not captured in the application. The statement should be no longer than two (2) 1.5-line-spaced pages in 12 point font with 1-inch margins.
