A good critical response paragraph will:
Write a brief explanation of the argument you are responding to, to provide context for your argument.
Develop a thorough, detailed, critical response about some aspect of the text. You might do this by drawing on thoughts or questions that were raised as you read and annotated the text, by making a specific critique of the text, or by adding something to the authors argument. Just about any response is appropriate as long as it thoughtfully adds something to the conversation the text is part of.
Your critical response must be and free of spelling, punctuation, or syntactical errors. It must also be written in paragraph format with complete sentences.
