This course is specifically designed on issues regarding the research process and one of the first steps of conducting a research is to write a research proposal.
In general a research proposal describes planned activities. In this class you will write a research proposal on any topic you are interested in criminal justice. There will be 3 major steps in this assignment. First you will write an annotated bibliography (100
points), then the literature review (100 points) and finally the research proposal (100 points). You can
find detailed information about these three topics in the required books. A detailed guide for the steps to complete this assignment will also be added to the Blackboard. Your Final Paper must be 15+ pages and must have a Title Page, Table of Contents, Abstract,
Body of the Paper, and References. Only count the Body of the paper towards your minimum page limit. The paper should;
a) be typed, double-spaced, 1 inch margins, 12-point Calibri font,
b) include at least five scholarly citations other than the ones we covered in the class (no website
articles, wikipedia, news agencies, magazines, and etc.),
c) be written according to APA formatting and citation style.
A plagiarism detection software (SafeAssign) is used in this course. SafeAssign will detect and report all instances of plagiarism including where the student copied and pasted directly from a source. Students will receive a grade of 0 in these instances, and possibly fail the course. All of your assignments in this class will be submitted through SAFE ASSIGN
