Using the same Digital Journal google doc that you copied at the beginning of the semester and used last week, write at least 250 words under Entry #10. Your Digital Journal is a running document that will grow as you are adding to it each week; do not delete your previous weeks’ entries from the Digital Journal that you are submitting. Your growing Digital Journal will help you to show how you’ve met the ENG 100 word count requirement by the end of the semester.
The Digital Journal has two purposes, which are to help you:
develop a regular writing practice, by writing at least 250 words each week; and
start/continue doing some exploratory freewriting that you might be able to use for your next essay assignment, the Problem Solution Research Essay. You should have previewed the instructions for this assignment already. You could freewrite in this week’s Digital Journal entry to brainstorm on possible topics that you might want to write about for your paper, or on any aspect of this issue or problem that you know or have heard about. However, if you’re not ready to start freewriting for the next essay, you could write on another topic to meet your word count, if you prefer. Just remember that this assignment is not your personal journal for venting your personal frustrations, so if you choose to not freewrite on the upcoming essay topic, stick to a topic related to the course theme of water.
