Write a well researched essay on any aspect of any one or more of the texts covered during the semester. You should state your focus clearly in a thesis. You should have clear references to the text(s) (including quotations) in your essay. You should include at least two outside critical sources in your essay (No Wikipedia references. Try using library databases.). Use MLA citation style for in-text citation and works cited page. You cannot write about the same text that you used for your analysis paper. Use a title for your essay.
Minimize summary. Concentrate on analysis and argument.
If using more than one primary text, you may choose texts from outside the syllabus, as long as one text is from the syllabus.
