Write an analytical/research essay about whatever stood out to you the most of Thomas Harris The Silence of the Lambs. DO NOT simply summarize the novel, but rather analyze its importance by using direct quotes and focusing on certain characters. (10pts)
Make sure that the following paragraphs are easily identifiable:
Introduction: First paragraph, begin by briefly stating what you will be presenting in your essay. Must include a thesis statement that is underlined. (10pts)
Body: Each paragraph must contain at least one quote from the novel, film, or secondary source. DO NOT exceed two short quotes per paragraph. Block quotes (quotes longer than 3 lines of text) will NOT be accepted. (30pts)
Conclusion: Last paragraph, summarize your essay and highlight some of the concepts used throughout the body of your essay. (10pts)
Include a works cited page with a minimum of three (3) sources: Must follow the guidelines established in the MLA PPT posted on Google Classroom. (10pts)
Include in-text parenthetical citations. Must follow the guidelines established in the MLA PPT posted on Google Classroom. (10pts)
Length: 800-1000 words (5pts)
Format: MLA (10pts)
Proper grammar usage no more than 10 errors (5pts)
Essay MUST be submitted as a Word Document. Any essay in PDF format will not be graded.
