There are no extensions to the deadline, as youve had ample time to work on this project. By now most of you have conducted extensive research into your topics and are probably ready to start getting your lesson plans and your presentations together, and you have probably started your final project written report. This guide is designed to show you what needs to be in this report, so you can make it as complete as possible. Note — If you decide to change your topic, make sure you do it well ahead of due dates (by >1 month).This project is the only major project that you complete in the Liberal Studies science specialization or focus (if applicable to you).+ The library research, as well as the preparation and paper writing, are very important.+ They prepare you to write future scientific papers and prepare you to write quality lessons for you future students. Furthermore, the lesson plan in this project may help you with the capstone essay in LS 498.Research and Paper StructureYour research, presentations, and your paper for this project should be structured in mostly the same way. Keep in mind that this paper itself is not due until the last day of class, but your research must be done well in advance of that date so you can prepare your talks presentation during finals week (see detailed guidelines and schedule). Your paper and your research should address the following (formatted and bulleted in this order):1 Firstly, you need your name on the paper. This takes one line of text only. No need to put my name/class.Secondly, give a concise title to your paper. This also should take one line of text. Then:Please start with brief Introduction to the problem that you researched and define that problem. This should be no more than a paragraph (less than page).2 What is the global problem you are addressing with your research? Tell me all about it. Describe how it affects populations or the environment and, therefore, presents a worldwide problem. Details are good here. You want to be able to demonstrate that you understand an issue well enough so that you have far more detailedinformation in your grasp than you would ever need to actually teach it in a K-6 classroom. Give at least 3 specific examples from around the world, and excluding the US (different countries, regions, projects, etc).3 How is this global issue being played out in the San Diego region (at the most southern California)? That is to say, how is the local example you have researched a good representation of a worldwide problem that is showing up in many other places and is, therefore, significant? Give at least 3 specific local examples of your problem and how it affects San Diegans. This should be more emphasized than the global problem; you should do more research on this.4 What solutions or actions have been undertaken locally and globally to deal with the problem you are researching? Tell me whats going on, whos involved, what their positions are, and where everyone stands onthese issues. What could be implemented now to solve the problem? What plans of action are being proposed today about it in the world? Describe also a plan of action that is being proposed specifically here in San Diego to combat the problem that youre researching. 5 What is the topic of your lesson plan and how does it link directly to your paper topic? 6. Complete lesson plan not part of your paper length, but attached as an appendix. It must tie directly to your research topic. This lesson plan should be at least 3 pages and should have a clear title (ie, the theme of your activity).So, you should have these sections in your paper, IN ORDER and LABELED. It will be evaluated in this way:1. Introduction what is your problem?2. Global issues are they well covered and researched?3. Local issues are they well covered and researched?4. Solutions/Actions are they well covered and researched?5.
