Final Exam Presentation: Comparative Analysis of Two Religions
For your final exam, you will create and record a PowerPoint presentation that compares specific beliefs/practices from two of the religions we have studied in the course. One of them must be from Judaism or Islam. The other could be from any of the other religions but NOT Christianity.

Create a 6-8 minute oral presentation using PowerPoint with creative use of images that are related to your topic.
Make sure to practice your presentation before submitting it. Time yourself and keep your presentation within the timeframe. Be sure to cover all the areas indicated in the prompt below.

Section A Introduction (1 slide)
Include your name, title of your presentation, a brief statement about what you are going to present.

Section B Give an Overview of one Religion (1 slide)
Present a detailed description which includes
the origins of the religion
or background of the founder of the religion

Section C Give an Overview of the other religion (1 slides)

Section D Comparative Analysis (2-3 slides)
In this section, you will compare the two beliefs/practices. First, discuss/describe one and then the other as follows.
Describe the most important elements of one belief/practice according to the course readings, lectures, discussion, etc.
Then describe the most important elements of the other belief/practice according to the course readings, lectures, discussion, etc.
Make sure the two beliefs/practices are from two different religions (one from Judaism or Islam and one from any of the other religions except Christianity).
Give two similarities between the two beliefs/practices.
Give two differences between the two beliefs/practices.
What is interesting or surprising about the similarities or differences
Section E – The Religious Belief/Practice in Popular Culture (1-2 slides)
Show a video clip (less than 2 minutes) that shows one of the beliefs/practices you used in Section D.
Give the name of the movie, tv-show, song, etc.
Give the religion and the particular belief/practice
Give an overview of how that belief/practice is expressed in the video clip. (1 minute)
