Individual Agency Visit and Individual Term Paper:
Each student is required to visit or schedule a zoom meeting with one of the agencies that they identified for their group project resource manual; The student will consult with a staff member (a professional) in the field and write a 3-4 page report based upon the interview, reflecting areas concerned with the health issue selected. Assignment instructions and checklist.
1. Cover page
2. Introduction (1-2 paragraphs): Describe the issue that the organization focuses on addressing. Discuss why it is important aspect of womens health overall, and why it is of interest to you. Provide overview of what the paper will be covering.
3. Discussion (1-2 pages):
a) In your discussion section provide a description of the health issue, how many women are impacted by the health issue, what women are most at risk, and what are the reasons for this health issue. Cite your sources in APA form
b) Identify the agency. Describe their mission; how long they have been working to address the issue and how.
c) Interview: Identify the staff member you consulted with; their title and role; their contact information; the date of the interview took place; Discuss their experiences in the field and what they identify as the areas of major concern in this work?
4. Summarize (1-2 paragraphs): what you have learned about the issue. How will it inform and impact your work as a human services professional?
5. Conclusion (1-2 paragraphs): Summarize paper and reflect on how the profession and society should address the issue.
6. Reference section: in APA format must include at least 2 peer-reviewed journal articles; 1 website; 1 book (our course text
