Each team member will select one particular urban development issue out of the 5 listed here to be the expert in (water, food, energy, transportation, or waste) for your city and you will be required to clearly address this urban development issue for your city and propose a few sustainability solutions.
MAIN FOCUS OF THIS PAPER IS ENERGY ISSUES IN DUBAI.
You must include both ecological and management issues clearly, drawing on specific topics of each discussed in class. You must reference at least 3 times from the attach sources as well as at least 3 other references that you find. Use internal citations (in-text parentheses or footnotes) to attribute your sources and provide a full bibliography at the end. Within your paper use headings to organize your paper to address the following (possible examples are given in parentheses below to help guide you):
Introduction brief background (including the relevant portions of the ecology and the people of the city that relates to your issue) to show your understanding of the energy issue for your city (DUBAI) why and how this is a problem
OUTLINE Specific Problems with energy issues identify 2 different issues within your topic and explain them clearly (e.g. for water discuss water scarcity and storm water run-off problem). This section should be the bulk of your paper.
Sustainability Solutions briefly identify 2 different potential solutions for your problems discussed above (e.g. for water discuss water conservation policies and green infrastructure for storm water run-off)
Please address both your urban development issue and your sustainability solutions as specifically as possible for your city. The paper should be 4-5 pages, double-spaced.
