It’s basically an introduction that contains a synopsis of what is to be accomplished in the discussion related to the weekly outcomes; how the discussion topic is significant to nurse leaders and managers, clarification of my role as a facilitator, and clarification of expectation of the participants. It does not contain a response to the discussion prompt from you as the facilitator. Preparation for the facilitation requires that you prepare by becoming very familiar with all the required readings and seek additional information from at least one outside scholarly source. It helps if you think of probing questions as you are preparing that might help you in the follow-up posts as appropriate.

WEEK 5: Table of content: Your previous learning experiences have exposed you to necessary components of organizational development including the philosophy, mission, vision, values, and goals. All of these influence the culture and climate of the organization. When these components are positive, promote the well-being of others, and are infused within every part of the organizational operations, then healthy, holistic working environments result. The lessons content explores the meaning of and differences between organizational culture and climate. Using a system’s thinking approach the holistic, healthy practice environment and its relationship to organizational culture and climate are examined.
