Lotus Evora – Active Aerodynamics

Page numbers should be inserted at the top centre of each sheet. Reports should be submitted, typed on A4 paper, spaced 1 with margins as follows:

top 40mm
bottom 20mm
left 40mm
right 20mm

It is very important that you use Star-CCM+ software.

Because there is a limit for uploading, here is the related link address:

and inside the file, there are the related model parts

the parts are the original model parts for the simulation

so it must be sent to writer soon, or he cannot do the simulation

Strategic Corporate Finance

Order Description

I already have the excel with the correct data, so just analysis that.

Task 1 Calculations (using the spreadsheet)
a) Enter relevant figures into the cash flows worksheet and justify any adjustments to the profit and loss accounts as a result of the information in points a)-j) above.
b) Using the figures in the calculations worksheet for Net present value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), accounting rate of return (ARR) and Payback Period, state, with reasons which project you would accept.
c) Use the sensitivity worksheet to prepare a sensitivity analysis for each project by adjusting each variable +/- 10%.

The spreadsheet provided will enable you to undertake all necessary calculations. You must use this spreadsheet.
(40 marks)

Task 2 Risk
You are not expected to do any calculations for this task.
• Evaluate these projects using your sensitivity analysis.
• Discuss how using expected values could help analyse the projects.
• Discuss how UK Gold Mining Ltd. could take account of inflation in their analysis.

Credit will be given in this task for appropriate use of academic literature along with accurate citations and referencing using the Harvard system.

Subsurface temperatures in an open vs. a built-up area

Order Description

Objective: Using two small data loggers, measure subsurface temperatures continuously over at least 7 days in an ‘open’ and densely ‘built-up’ location characterized by a gradient of contrasting sky view factors.
Method: Become familiar with the HOBO data loggers and their software. Install the HOBO thermometer probes at exactly similar depth (5 – 10 cm). Run them over 7 days. Compare the subsurface climates at the selected locations and relate those to urban structure in the vicinity.

Instrumentation provided: data logger with thermometers, software, interface. You bring: Field book, PC

We have already collected the data, and we got the primary result. From first two figure, we find, Range at Oak is smaller than totem field which is strange. Average temperature is almost same in Oak. Surface temperature is varying greatly in both site.
From figure 2-1 and 2-2, UHI sub air doesn’t change around 1℃ while sub temperature change. Totem’s change is greater than oak.
From figure 3-1 and 3-2, construction influence has a small effect of urban heat island. Construction is not strong enough to effect urban temperature. But we think maybe urban heat island will be stronger if we put more construction in urban area.
Limitation: Better location, longer study period, deeper probe, more specific weather data

Diffusion Urbanism vs. Nuclear Urbanism

Order Description

To begin the discussion board posting, we can consider the implications of two newly discovered settlements in the Americas – Caral and Cahokia – on the urban origins debate (i.e. diffusion urbanism versus nuclear urbanism).

Do these two cases provide strong, maybe irrefutable, evidence for the nuclear urbanism theory? Or are these two cases just aberrations – i.e. exceptions to the rule(i.e. diffusion urbanism)? What are your thoughts on the nuclear urbanism vs. diffusion urbanism debate?

A study published in April 2001 has dated the ruins of Caral in Peru to 2600 BC, thereby making it the oldest known city in the Americas, thriving around the same time when pyramids and urban settlements existed in Egypt. Visit any the following websites for an overview of Caral:

Many scholars content that urban origins in North America are a product of diffusion urbanism (via Spanish, French, and English colonial settlement) since none of the pre-European villages are deemed to have attained urban status. They argue that urban civilization in North America was limited to the Maya and Aztec civilizations of Mexico. Cahokia, located in the heartland of America (in the Mississippi Valley, east of modern St. Louis), was the largest indigenous (pre-Colombian) city north of Mexico yet its existence and importance were overlooked during the 1800s because political/racial motives. Archaeological interpretations confirm that Cahokia was inhabited by an advanced Native civilization before European contact. Yet, earlier scholars argued that the city and its monuments could not have been designed and built by “savages”. Instead, the city’s origin was attributed to errant Phoenician mariners and even to lost Welsh explorers. These fanciful ideas have now been dismissed by modern archaeological excavations and historical investigations. Visit any of the following websites for an overview of Cahokia:
