Final Project – Data Analysis Reports – Culminating Project
First, you need to download the raw data file (by clicking the file: DDDM PART 2 RAW DATA_Entire class.xlsx
Pretend that you are utilizing the data from the most recent year that you find in the file.
For example, if you find the most recent year of data is 2019 – you will produce the project as if it were 2019.
Do not look at the data is if it is the current year (2020).

Data Analysis Report (PART 1 – 3)
In this final exercise, we will be using the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point) to create a data analysis report.
This report (PART 1 to 3) will be utilized as a representative sample of your work in the ePortfolio.
Part 1 – Data Analysis Report (in MS Word)
Open the Excel spreadsheet and familiarize yourself with the raw data.
Open a new Word document (blank), and create at least Three (3) full pages (single-spaced, font size=12) report addressing the following:
Add the following information on the first page’s top-left corner of the report:

Interpret the data and listed in three (3) paragraphs on:
what kind of data is available?
what can it be used for, and?
what is the purpose of each column, etc.
Make a list of at least 10 questions that could be answered by utilizing the data set.
Fully discuss the details of this data set – Express the results (Charts/Diagrams with explanation) after Part 2 Excel Data Analysis Report.
Student need to fully discuss in detail the results in 2018 & 2019 individually, and the comparison between 2018 & 2019 that are related to:
Monthly Sales Overview
Top 10 Customers
Top 10 Products
8 Product Categories
Top 10 Regions
Also, include the Recommendations/Suggestions
The fully discuss should be written in Six (6) paragraphs.
Save this report (in .docx format) with your name included in the file name.
Part 2 – Data Analysis Report (in MS Excel)
Imagine the following scenario – You are hired as the new assistant to the executive board. You are asked to prepare a meeting for tomorrow, in which the board will expect a full briefing based on the data you have been given (raw data set). Remember, they already know the data – your job is to reveal the trends, patterns, find information, dig for the hidden gems that will help the organization improve!
Do the data analysis and creation of visuals in your Excel file — Save it with a filename reflecting that work — include your name in the filename please. You should end up with tabs like the following snip, at a minimum worksheet of (each tab contains the associated ONE PivotTable & THREE Diagrams):

The following tabs need to contain ONE PivotTable with 2018 & 2019 data and THREE Diagrams separated in 2018, 2019, and the comparison between 2018 & 2019:
Monthly Sales Overview (Line chart)
Top 10 Customers (Column or Bar chart)
Top 10 Products (Column or Bar chart)
8 Product Categories (Column or Bar chart)
Top 10 Regions (Pie chart. Select Pie for 2018, 2019 and Doughnut chart to present the comparison between 2018 & 2019)
At a minimum, you need to be able to discuss the following questions, and offer visual support for each (in 2018, 2019 and comparison between 2018 & 2019) in PART 3 – PowerPoint Presentation:
Monthly Sales Overview in 2018, 2019 & their comparison.
How have sales developed in 2019 compared to the year before – 2018?
Who are the Top 10 Customers in 2018, 2019 & their comparison? What changes can be noted?
What are the Top 10 Products — based on product name in 2018, 2019 & their comparison? What changes can be noted?
What are the 8 Product Categories — based on product category in 2018, 2019 & their comparison? What changes can be noted?
How are sales distributed over the Top 10 Regions in 2018, 2019 & their comparison? Have shifts occurred?

[IMPORTANT]
Students NEED to demonstrate their ability of creating Pivot Tables & Charts by utilize the existing Raw Data in Excel.
Go to “Project Resources” to watch the videos on how to create Pivot Tables & Charts in Excel.
20 points will be deducted if student failed to demonstrate their ability of creating Pivot Tables & Charts.
Tip: The minimum of 15 Diagrams/Charts should look similar to their snips (for Reference only)

Part 3 – Data Analysis Report (in MS PowerPoint)
Prepare a Power Point presentation (in MS PowerPoint) based on the data and your analysis in Excel file. Included Page Notes for each slide and add Voice Narrations as if you were presenting this information to the executive board.
Title slide with the Title, your full name, and Date
The 2nd slide should contain the executive summary of the report (no more than 120 words).
The content slides should contain visuals, charts, graphs, tables, and any verbiage to assist in demonstrating a full data analysis.
