In about 200 words, write about someone who was a MANAGER but not much of a LEADER, and then in about 200 words, write about someone who was a LEADER but not a MANAGER. In each scenario, write about what that person did to demonstrate one of the roles, and then some things that he or she didn’t do which would have demonstrated the other.

TEACHER INSTRUCTION: For Writing Assignment 3, you can choose one of four different options.

In a paper of a MINIMUM of 400 words, using Times New Roman, double-spaced, 12-point type with normal word margins, create a Word document that does the following:

OPTION 1 – In about 200 words, write about someone who was a MANAGER but not much of a LEADER, and then in about 200 words, write about someone who was a LEADER but not a MANAGER. In each scenario, write about what that person did to demonstrate one of the roles, and then some things that he or she didn’t do which would have demonstrated the other.

OPTION 2 – In about 200 words, choose ONE of the eight types of power and write about someone who effectively uses or used that type of power to get people to do things, and then in about 200 words, choose a DIFFERENT type of power and write about someone who effectively uses or used that type of power to get people to do things (do NOT write about a politician in EITHER example.)

OPTION 3 – Review the four styles of the Situational Leadership Theory. In about 100 words, describe a situation where your manager used a SUPPORTIVE style with a worker. Then, in about 100 words, describe a situation where your manager used a DELEGATING style with a worker. Then, in about 100 words, describe a situation where your manager used a COACHING style with a worker. Then, in about 100 words, describe a situation where your manager used a DIRECTIVE style with a worker. For each style, describe the situation, what it was about the worker that required that style, and what the manage did.

OPTION 4 – In about 200 words, write about a current or former manager who you think embodied either a charismatic, authentic, servant, or transactional leadership style, and what he or she did to suggest that style. Then, in about 200 words, write about another current or former manager who you think embodies another one of those four styles, and what he or she did to suggest that style.

At the BEGINNING of the essay, put one of the following as a header: “OPTION 1 – Leader/Manager” or “OPTION 2 – two types of power” or “OPTION 3 – Situational Leadership” or “OPTION 4 – leadership style.”

You should start a new paragraph for each main piece (each defined block of 100 or 200 words, where the topic focus changes.)

Grading will include how well you followed the instructions, the quality of your ideas in each section, the quality of your writing, and grammar/spelling.

MY INSTRUCTION:
I know this is a personal paper and an odd request but I am in a bind.
Just make something up that’s believable. Im a 20 year old female college student who has worked at, All American Fun Park AKA Fun Park, Blue moon ice cream shop in the Albany Mall, Chick-Fil-A Albany, and The Cakery ( a local bakery). The professor doesn’t know much about his students so as long as its believable it doesn’t have to even be somewhere I have actually worked or true at all. He won’t know the difference. I just do not have the time to write it because of personal reasons.
