Models of Information Behavior, Research Methods and Research Design used to study Information Behaviors

Provide a discussion about your own information behavior and refer to the assigned reading of the models of information behavior (Case & Given, 2016, ch7); metatheories, theories and paradigms (Case & Given, 2016, ch8); and Research design and methods (Case &Given, 2016, ch9) used by information behavior researchers in the context described as follows:

Introductory Paragraph (Introduction)
– Determine a real-life situation in which you needed information then describe the information need and the information behavior you exhibited.

Main Paragraphs (Analysis)
– Discuss what this behavior demonstrates about:
Your information needs,
How and where you look for information,
How you use the information you find.
Your discussion should demonstrate your understanding of information needs, information seeking, and information behavior by substantiating your ideas with the research from Case & Given (2016);
Then select (1) a model and (2) one theory to analyze your information behavior in the real-life situation within the context of the model and then the theory;
Did using the model and theory to analyze your information behavior affect your perspective and interpretation of your information behavior? Explain how.
Were the model and theory useful in explaining your information behavior in the real-life situation?
What research design and method would be most appropriate (considering the theory you have selected), in your opinion, to study your information behavior?
Substantiate your ideas using the content and resources provided in the reading in chapters 7, 8 and 9. (Case & Given, 2016).

Concluding Paragraph (Conclusion)
– Summarize what you have learned, observed and/or concluded and comments and/or reflection about your experience with this assignment.
