PROJECT INFORMATION:
As a new manager you will be determining and justifying the cost for a new product in a decentralized organization and reporting your analysis to the owner.
Course objective(s) covered: 1,2,3, and 6
REQUIREMENTS:
Based on your readings, use of technology, literature, and other sources do the following:
Select an existing company and give a brief description of the company of your choice
Identify a new product you want to develop a cost analysis for this company
State if you will be using job order of process costing for this new product and why this is appropriate for the product
Identify the fixed and variable costs associated with the product you have selected
Identify the various cost centers in the organization you have selected
In your analysis to the owner you will also be creating an Excel spreadsheet as an exhibit to support your conclusions.
WRITING REQUIREMENTS:
The body of the paper should be 4-5 pages (not including title page, abstract, tables, charts, exhibits or references).
This paper requires a minimum of three references: academic journals, professional journals, and/or appropriate authoritative references identified by the instructor.
All papers are submitted in APA format.
