The Final Story shall:
–Follow the Basic Story Format. In fact, you could outline the story now, if you know what the topic is. The story will have a lead, (preferably, a transitional quote) nut graph, body and an escape.
–Follow the Reporting Triangle. The research can be anything from sports records, social media posts or past interviews with other media. The observation might be something youve already done or now will do to see if they match. The interview will be based on topic. –Write AP Style, Print Style, in the third person. If I see I did this or I spoke with, thats a failure. I dont mean youll have points counted off. I mean you will have failed the assignment and possibly the course. This class has been built around the AP Style, Print Style, in the third person.
–Multi-source. That means if you write about a person seek information from an additional source about your subject.
–Be 200 to 400 words long.
–Be formatted as such:
1: Name at the top. Be sure you put your name, at the top. I dont care which side, at the top. DO NOT put your name as a footer or header that shows up to every page.
2: For a headline, put Final Story. DO NOT give a story headline, just put FINAL STORY.
