Procurement process and policies and procedures

Need a policies and procedures document for hospital procurement in the United States.

Need to create a policy and procedure document reflecting an adequate procurement process (for capitol as well).

Need to create visual workflow diagram of the procurement process identified in the policy.

Hospital procurement is in charge of managing the three phases of total lifecycle management. The beginning phase of the lifecycle is the value analysis process where hospitals determine the best value products to buy. The middle phase is utilization management where hospitals control their in-use cost. The last phase of the lifecycle is where they economically and ecologically dispose of the products.

I’ve attached two sample documents.

Climate Control

This is an opportunity for you to share your research project with your peers.

In one paragraph, state your thesis and discuss your findings/argument.

Reflective writing is an opportunity to sort through learning and experience. It is an opportunity to think about what you read and respond to it without worrying about editing yourself. It is a free-write where you discover what you think and why you think it, based on what you know, what you heard, and what you need to learn more about in order to form an opinion. The opinion is essentially your thesis.

Reflect on your project and its relation to the environment/environmental issues as a whole. What makes your project an environmental issue is a question to consider as you determine how to present your idea/argument to audiences.

The environment is a large topic plays a significant role in making our existence on the planet possible. Everything we use to live a full life comes under the environment. We just can`t live without air, water, land, sunlight, animals, and other natural things. Environmental pollution is affecting our lives physically, emotionally, socially, economically, and intellectually. It has become a major worldwide issue which cannot be solved by the effort of one. We should do our best in order not to put the end to the existence of all living things on earth. Every person on our planet should take a little step to save our environment and maintain its originality.

Here is one way to approach the paragraph:

a. A thesis (this is also called the main idea and establishes your argument)

b. Explain the thesis (discuss what you mean by your position)

c. Present the evidence you thought about and included.

d. Discuss the significance/relevance of the evidence.

e. Close by telling us why this topic is valuable/has merit/demands attention.

Explain the goals of criminal law and why these goals are still important today.

Overview
According to the text, criminal law is aimed at the misbehavior that falls below society’s norms and values. The burden of enforcing criminal law and maintaining public order and public safety falls to local, state, and even the federal government; all help to shape and prescribe conduct in the United States. Each state is specifically responsible for the maintenance of public order and public safety within their borders. The federal government is responsible for regulating criminal conduct delegated to it by the U.S. Constitution. Each branch of government, at the state and federal level, must proscribe the required elements of each crime charged and prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt per the Due Process Clause and other constitutional requirements. In this assignment, you will explore criminal law, criminal culpability and its limitations, and what is required for criminal liability and punishment.

Instructions
Write a 23-page paper in which you:

Explain the goals of criminal law and why these goals are still important today.

Explain the connection between state police power and the limitations of this power imposed by the Constitution.

Identify the differences between state and federal jurisdiction, when it comes to criminal law, and what is meant by due process of law.

Describe the manner in which the four goals of criminal law are met by requiring and proving both a mental element and physical act beyond a reasonable doubt.

Use at least three high-quality academic references. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your assignment. For help with research, writing, and citation, access the library or review library guides.
Write clearly and concisely in a manner that is grammatically correct and generally free of spelling, typographical, formatting, and/or punctuation errors.

Specify how others have operationalized this concept and measured these phenomena
Note: Introduction should not be more than one or two paragraphs.

Literature Review

There is no need for a literature review in this assignment

3.Research Question or Research Hypothesis

What is the Research Question or Research Hypothesis?

***Just in time information: Here are a few points for Research Question or Research Hypothesis

There are basically two kinds of research questions: testable and non-testable. Neither is better than the other, and both have a place in applied research.

Examples of non-testable questions are:

How do managers feel about the reorganization?
What do residents feel are the most important problems facing the community?
Respondents’ answers to these questions could be summarized in descriptive tables and the results might be extremely valuable to administrators and planners. Business and social science researchers often ask non-testable research questions. The shortcoming with these types of questions is that they do not provide objective cut-off points for decision-makers.

In order to overcome this problem, researchers often seek to answer one or more testable research questions. Nearly all testable research questions begin with one of the following two phrases:

Is there a significant difference between …?
Is there a significant relationship between …?
For example:

Is there a significant relationship between the age of managers and their attitudes towards the reorganization?
A research hypothesis is a testable statement of opinion. It is created from the research question by replacing the words “Is there” with the words “There is,” and also replacing the question mark with a period. The hypotheses for the two sample research questions would be:

There is a significant relationship between the age of managers and their attitudes towards the reorganization.
It is not possible to test a hypothesis directly. Instead, you must turn the hypothesis into a null hypothesis. The null hypothesis is created from the hypothesis by adding the words “no” or “not” to the statement. For example, the null hypotheses for the two examples would be:

There is no significant relationship between the age of managers and their attitudes towards the reorganization.
There is no significant difference between white and minority residents with respect to what they feel are the most important problems facing the community.
All statistical testing is done on the null hypothesis…never the hypothesis. The result of a statistical test will enable you to either:

1) reject the null hypothesis, or

2) fail to reject the null hypothesis. Never use the words “accept the null hypothesis.”

What does significance really mean?

Significance” is a statistical term that tells how sure you are that a difference or relationship exists. To say that a significant difference or relationship exists only tells half the story. We might be very sure that a relationship exists, but is it a strong, moderate, or weak relationship? After finding a significant relationship, it is important to evaluate its strength. Significant relationships can be strong or weak. Significant differences can be large

Describe how you propose to analyze effectiveness data. Specifically, describe:
___ will you put the data into a graphic display? Which kind: a line graph, or posted in the classroom so the student(s) will also see their progress, etc.?
___ present your hypothesis regarding effectiveness data. For example, are all students going to learn the same, or different? Why? Will you see growth/progress?

Conclusion
(2 points)
___ summary of anticipated (hoped) results, in one or two paragraphs. You can present these anticipated results as conclusions in a table, after describing them here. For example, maybe you anticipate that all students will learn at the same pace, by the end of the unit/semester/by Christmas if it is a Christmas project; however, maybe one or more students acquire the information at a different pace, you can describe how you will adjust your plan to meet their needs.
___Do not present new information. Use the Conclusion to articulate your main points with clarity; to reiterate, summarize, and perhaps re-sequence the anticipated results.

Data Collection Methods Summary

Data Collection Method What and How Notes
Event (frequency) recording The number of times a behavior (appropriate or inappropriate) occurs within a specified period of time. Period of time: hour(s), day, week.
Percentage recording Percentage is calculated by dividing the number of behaviors observed by the number of opportunities to perform that behavior. Used when a behavior can occur a FIXED number of times in an observation session rather than an undetermined number of times.
Rate recording A rate is expressed by the ratio of the number of behaviors divided by the unit of time: R = no./t (Rate = number/ time). Used to determine the frequency of a behavior and its relation to time, when the observation time of a session VARIES.
Interval (duration recording) An observational recording system in which an observation period is divided into a number of short intervals (no longer than 30 seconds).
The observer counts the number of intervals when the behavior occurs AT ANY TIME DURING the interval. The observer counts the number of intervals when the behavior occurs AT ANY TIME DURING the interval.

Latency recording Recording the amount of time between the presentation of the cue/stimulus and the initiation of a response. How fast we see/hear a response.
Time sampling recording An observational recording system in which an observation period is divided into equal intervals, of seconds or minutes, and the behavior recorded AT THE END OF EACH INTERVAL. The target behavior is observed & recorded AT THE END OF EACH INTERVAL.
Task analytic recording Task-analytic measurement focuses on a students performance on a sequence, or chain, of behaviors during teaching or during testing. You can record: +/- as steps are accomplished or not; level of prompting; steps performed only by the student.

describe the main thesis along with working theses that follow. Use a series of relevant quotations from the book in supported of the main thesis, as well as working theses.

BOOK review of John J. Mearsheimer & Stephen M. Walt, The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy.
Instructions (See attach document as well): Your book review should be divided into five interwoven parts, which are logically connected to each other.
BIBLIOGRAPHIC INFORMATION (Cover-page)
Title
Author
Publisher. Cannot be a think-tank, an advocacy group, self-published, religious organization, a government sponsored report, or historical book, a journalistic report. University presses or publishers specialized in academic books are fine
.Place and date of publication.
Your name as the reviewer
2. INTRODUCTION
Briefly describe the topic or theme of the book.
Clearly state the book’s main question and its thesis.
Make a short statement evaluating the contribution of the book.
3. CONTENT OF REVIEW: BODY PARAGRAPHS
1. Description: make a brief summary of the book.
2. Why did you become interested in the book.
3. Literature Review: drawing from your perspective, describe the debate around this issue, to which the author(s) is responding, adding, or criticizing.
4. What authors question.
5. Thesis: describe the main thesis along with working theses that follow. Use a series of relevant quotations from the book in supported of the main thesis, as well as working theses.
6. Significance: state the significance of the work and its contribution to the extant literature.
7. Supporting evidence: by citing a series of telling quotations, identify supporting evidence provided by the author(s). In this section, you need to summarize what and how the author(s) supports, or not, the main thesis of the book. Being precise and concise are critical here.
8. Reviewer’s Evaluation: state your opinion in regard to the followings:
i.Intended goal: did the book meet its intended goal? Did the book prove its main thesis? Evaluate the quality of supporting evidence and rational.
ii.Style: did the book succeed in explaining its stated goals coherently, clearly, logically, and factually? Did the organization of the book make sense?
iii.Express your opinion in relation to the extant literature
9. CONCLUSION: summarize by stating the main thesis, significance, and contribution of the book to the literature and thus reality; reiterate your evaluation; express your opinion here by citing other related works if you can.

A Random List of What to Avoid:
Do not make declaratory statements without providing evidence, reason, and specificity. For example, if you write something like, “I really like this book” without following evidence, you will lose points.
Be precise with your words. For example, do not write I feel when you mean you think. The words “feeling” and “thinking” are not the same thing.
No colloquial language at all.Do not use pronouns unless the reference subject is clearly known to your reader. For example, do not use the pronoun “we” to refer to all Americans, as though you can speak on behalf of every American. The same thing applies the pronoun “they” when applied to other collectivities.Do not repeat a concept or a thought, unless you are making a new point. If you say it well once, you need not to return to it for a while.
Do not be wordy: no need to use extra words to meet the word-requirement of the paper. Instead, be concise and precise.
Every paragraph must stand on its own. A good paragraph should provide
(1) a concise introductory sentence;
(2) a series of logically consistent sentences in support of your introductory sentence;
(3) at least one concluding sentence; and
(4) finally a transition sentence for the next paragraph.
Avoid making non-sequiturs, i.e. a statement that does not logically follow the preceding one. Make smooth transition from one thought to another; one subject to another; one sentence to another; and one rationale to another.
Be specific.
Do not write clich statements such I agree with the author wholeheartedly without specifically indicating on what issue, based on what quotes, and why.

Note: I’ve tried everything and he keeps giving me a flat 80% every time. It’s not about the writing, he cares more about the History. He’s really into us providing so many examples to prove we’re actually into the subject and not just reading summaries. He also likes the why or how rather than just saying what happened. I don’t know if that helped, as long as you write something for everything he said in the top summary, it’s a guaranteed B but I’m lost as to what an A is. I copied pasted everything he wrote about the assignment in the beginning. Thank you.
