Vision

The business seeks a company in the same line of business (selling technical systems and offering services of on the same) in California State. The business is aimed at reaching annualized sales of 3 billion dollars and become profitable despite its current bankruptcy condition. The business seeks to employ people mainly engaged in marketing, Research and Development, support and administration to join the existing employees of the two companies after a merger. The company will offer quality products and added-value services to its customers throughout the business segment of the company. The products and services are aimed to be technically advanced and provide numerous clear-cut benefits and improvements over products and services of competitors within the same industry or line of business. This is aimed at expanding the operations of the business through acquisitions and organic growth in the future in associated market segments/technology. By this time, the company will have received mezzanine finance before a public offering.

Mission Statement

The company will design, develop, and market advanced systems for transaction processing management and specialist data capture. The web-based systems will work with specialist hardware from key integrators. These will be sold to small, large, and medium-sized companies within the industry for a variety of specialist applications. The business systems will be distinguished from those of competitors by their interfaces that are sophisticated, ease of modification and scalability, and extensive patents.

Corporate Values

The corporate values that will govern the development of the company will include operations in conformity with the highest rules and standards in relations with suppliers, customers/clients, environment, and the entire community. The business is aimed at fostering a climate that promotes diligence and innovation amongst personnel and reward accordingly.

Business objectives

The long-term business objectives of the company will include expanding the company aggressively and provide returns of above-average to shareholders. In addition, the company is aimed at becoming a leading firm in innovative systems within the industry.

Key Strategies

Some of essential strategies that will be pursued by the company will include accelerating product launches by intensifying Research and Development team, extending relations with major technology centers, raising additional venture capital. Furthermore, other strategies will include expanding the management team in marketing and sales, recruiting non-executive directors, appointing advisors for finance and intellectual property, strengthening the function of human resources and introducing share options for personnel, and seeking new segments in the market and product applications. The company is also aimed at applying other essential strategies such as locating new premises, commissioning assessments of major markets, initiating participation in missions and trade shows, establishing market entry plans in other regions, pursuing alliances with other key players in the market, and strengthening their presence in the market/industry.

Major goals

Some of the main goals of the business is to attain sales of 3 billion by the end of 2013and report profits of one billion annually. Another essential goal is to secure a large share in the market and become the largest supplier of the technical systems. The company also has among its goals to undertake an IPO in the next one and a half years, employing technically qualified people, and have sales agents in major markets before the end of 2014.

Marketing and Promotion Strategy

The company aims to utilize significant time and resources in marketing its products and services in the market. Being a company that promotes the application of technical systems in operations, the company will use a lot of technical systems to promote its services and products through the application of the internet and large media services. This will ensure that a majority of individuals get to know more about the company.

SWOT Analysis

For any company, it is essential to note down the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Strengths

Some of the strengths of the business include: Research and Development are almost complete, key customers have been acquired, the company has a basis for a powerful management team, the company is situated near a major excellence center, there are exceedingly focused staff and management, initial products may emerge into a variety of offerings, and the business is well-rounded and managed.

Weaknesses

The company has inadequate cash resources leading to overdependence on borrowing. This is the reason for the current situation of the company. In addition, the board of directors is too narrow, there is lack of awareness amongst potential clients, absence of strong sales, and overdependence on few personnel. However, these weaknesses will be overcome by the strategies proposed.

Opportunities

The market segment is on the edge of a dramatic growth, markets from other regions provide great potential, and there is scope to expand into associated market segments. These offer high potential for growth of the company despite its present state.

Threats

There are a few threats that face the company including existing and potential competition in the market, threat of obsolescent due to advanced technology, price sensitivity in the market, and threat of reduced demand due to slowdown of the economy. Research Questions

The flow chart in the appendix 1 presents the adverse trend and data management in hospitals. To understand and evaluate the trend in question, this research would investigate in depth patients’ health care. To fully gather the results, this study would evaluate how the healthcare providers administer healthcare support and whether patients receive adequate support that improves their well-being. It would also be vital to evaluate whether the care given align with the medical standards. Conducting this analysis would evaluate patient care and whether or not the healthcare providers have the required skills to perform medical procedures. I would want to investigate further the patients’ complaints and compliments. At this point, I would interview patients and eventually evaluate whether they are satisfied with the care provided. To gather adequate facts and information on this, this research would compile a number of questionnaires to patients on their illness, medical care provided, and whether the healthcare providers are competent and supportive in improving their well-being. The patients’ feedbacks on the questions would evaluate the nursing care given to patients.

In essence, this research would also access patient health from their first time visit to date. This analysis would create a strong path to understand the care administered by the healthcare providers. It would also evaluate whether healthcare providers are giving best services that foster healing to patients. Understanding the trend in question would overall evaluate patients’ care and further evaluate whether the healthcare providers are competent to administer healthcare services.

 

 

Data I would Need to Collect

In order to conduct a comprehensive analysis on this study, this research would need to collect some data on various aspects. Typically, this research would collect data on quality care and what needs to be done to increase efficiency care. To gather valid or accurate results, I would interview a number of patients in the hospital to evaluate whether the hospital is promoting quality care. I would also observe patients’ well being and articulate whether or not patients are fully supported. To assess the validity of the data collected, this study would evaluate whether the participants interviewed expressed the thoughts of what is going in the hospital. At this point, the data would be reliable if the information collected is consistent and fully supported by the majority. For example, if one patient agrees that health care providers are not competent to administer healthcare, then this study would further evaluate how many patients are agreeing with that concept. The study would also compile the activities going on in the setting. In this case, some devices such as surveillance cameras and CCTV would further evaluate whether the comments given by patients are true or not.

Data Collection Methods

In this study, I would utilize various data collection methods to gather adequate facts and information about the subject. As mentioned previously, I would use interviews and observation to collect data on patient care in the hospital. The interviews would be collected either by telephone or in person. To gather adequate facts, the interviews would be open-ended thus giving patients a chance to air their thoughts, views, and complaints of what is going in the hospital. The core benefit of using this method to collect data is that, it would be cheaper compared to other methods like conducting a survey. This method of data collection would be considerable if there are participants willing to be interviewed.

 

How the data would affect the response to the adverse trend

The data collected in this research would affect the research response in that it would help to analyse the adverse trend and data management in the past and present. This would further assist the hospital to plan on the best adverse trend that would promote quality care in the future. The research would lay a strong platform to understand whether healthcare providers have worked hard to provide the best nursing care and support to patients.

Technology used in each step and legal and ethical issues surrounding it

To conduct a successful study, this research would utilize various technological tools to analyse, investigate, and monitor patients care. As indicated in the flow chart, some of the technologies that would be used include electronic medical records software, computers, mobile technology, and surveillance cameras and CCTV. As indicated, I would utilize electronic health records and mobile technology to access patients care. In this case, mobile technology could be used to gather patients’ feedbacks about the care given to patients. During interviews, this technology would encourage patients and healthcare providers to be open minded in giving out their suggestions on what need to be done to improve quality care. When used in the hospital setting, it would improve communication between healthcare providers and healthcare providers and eventually boost quality care. Electronic health record systems would play a vital role in administering quality patient care. This system would help this research gather information about patients’ appointment and medication provided. As a result, this tool would help the research to evaluate areas that need immediate improvement. When used in the hospital, this tool would improve work efficiencies and reduce time wastage. Tzeng & Yin  (2009) argued that, the ethical issues surrounding mobile technology and electronic health record system are data privacy, security, and confidentiality should be considered. In this case, health care providers are obliged never to disclose patients’ information without their consent.

In the second step, this research would utilize computer ad EHR systems. Through these technologies, this research would accumulate patients’ complaints and compliments, evaluate health progress on patients, and access patients’ records in the past and in the current. It is crucial to note that, when these technologies are used in the hospital they increase quality care, reduce medical errors, and coordinate patients more effectively. Ethically, privacy and confidentiality are the two major legal issues evolving the use of computers and EHR systems. Healthcare providers are always encouraged never to disclose patients’ information without their consent. Organizations are also encouraged to come up with their login details to secure the information kept in computers (Jha, DesRoches, Kralovec & Joshi, 2010).

Lastly, surveillance and CCTV cameras would be used to access the care provided by the healthcare providers. These technologies would help this research to monitor activities taking place and further evaluate whether the hospital is administering quality care.  In brief, the ethical issue surrounding this technology is that, proper care should be imposed when using this tool in the healthcare setting. Overall, the hospital should use it to monitor activities taking place without interfering with patients’ privacy (Flores, Win & Susilo, 2010).
